I’ve been working within online marketing and communications in different roles for almost 15 years. I’ve been in such different businesses as nuclear power, packaging, personal care for women and babies, IT, car refinish and advertising. I still find online communications as interesting as I did when I first started, and with the mobile and user driven content development we’re experiencing right now it is more exciting than ever.
I’m at my very best at work when I have challenging responsibilities and tasks, and when I clearly contribute to driving the organization forward. My current job as web strategist at a web agency is by far the most interesting and fun job I've ever had. I meet smart and brave people in interesting organisations and help them figure out how Internet can make their life better. I get to do this at a company where every single one of my colleagues is smart, honest, fun and every bit as geeky as I am. Epic win.
Besides online communication I also have a love thing going on with photography. And knitting. And Mediterranean holidays. And meeting new people. And seeing new places. And geek girls. Since 2009 I’m part of the network Geek Girl Meetup. I’m the founder of the west coast branch Geek Girl Meetup Göteborg, where women with passion for web, communication, entrepreneurship and design meet and talk business, future plans and projects.
