Value Hub is a knowledge-sharing network for professionals that focus on creating value for company’s and organizations.
Value is derived from the perspective of the receiver and that is why innovation should be fostered from a "customer development perspective". Some call it "Customer centricity" others "Customer experiences". This group focuses on how we can combine "inventive innovation" with Michael Porters (Harvard Business School), combination of "Strategy" and "Operational efficiency".
How do we create a Business Model (BM) portfolio as we create a product portfolio or is the BM development a part of the product development for that specific product? Osterwalder says: Product innovation is a ticket to compete on the market while BM innovation gives you the differentiator.
Steve Blanks "Customer development" allows us to pivot our innovation to "fit" the perceived value expectations of the customer. Eric Ries "Lean startup" connected Blanks method with Agile programming and "codified" programming and therefore improved "operational efficiency" of programming. This could be done in all industries as Ray Kroc "codified" the "operational efficiency" of McDonalds and Toyota did the same for the car industry.
