In 2007, founders Greg Lawrance and Luis Fernandez set out to create a brand that they believed met a missing and important niche (both in their closets and in the marketplace): clothes that were not simply throwaways but high-quality, great-fitting and mid-priced fashion essentials.
They were not products of a fashion program at a design institute nor heirs to an established fashion empire. But we did have motivation, creativity and a brave spirit and enthusiasm to find the solution.
And the solution? Engineer a collection around their own unique philosophy of what men's clothing could and should be. Engineer clothes that are versatile. Engineer a brand for men who care about great fit, quality fabrics and a sophisticated, sporty design. Engineer a brand that is masculine and confident. Ultimately, engineer a brand we would wear ourselves.
And so, they created NUMBER:Lab.
